MEDICAL AND SOCIAL MODELS OF APPROACH TO DISABILITY

This article provides a scientific analysis of the theoretical and practical aspects of medical and social approaches to the phenomenon of disability. Within the medical model, disability is viewed as an individual pathological problem, whereas the social model focuses on the barriers and infrastructural constraints created by society. The paper substantiates the differences between these two models and the necessity of their integration within a modern biopsychosocial approach, highlighting the role of an inclusive environment and digital technologies in improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities.##plugins.themes.default.displayStats.downloads##
