ORAL SPEECH SKILLS: CONCEPT, STRUCTURE, AND THE NECESSITY OF DEVELOPMENT

This article examines the concept of oral speech skills based on the theoretical perspectives of Uzbek and foreign scholars. The paper analyses various definitions of oral speech skills, their structural components (phonological, lexical-grammatical, discourse, compensatory, socio-cultural and non-verbal skills), as well as the educational, professional and personal significance of developing these skills.
