This article analyzes the pedagogical foundations for developing students' historical thinking and learning activity through the use of interactive methods in teaching history. It demonstrates the limitations of traditional teacher-centered instruction and the advantages of an interactive approach that transforms the student into an active subject. The ideas of J. Dewey, L. Vygotsky, S. Wineburg, and P. Seixas, as well as the concepts of active and cooperative learning and critical thinking, are examined as a theoretical basis. The author provides analytical commentary on each theoretical source from the standpoint of its application to history-lesson practice, and on this basis proposes methodological principles for using interactive methods.##plugins.themes.default.displayStats.downloads##
