Abstract

This article analyzes the essence of the concept of giftedness, the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of gifted students, as well as the biological, psychological, and socio-pedagogical factors influencing their development. The study also reveals the theoretical- methodological, diagnostic-analytical, organizational-activity, and axiological-communicative components of competence in working with gifted students. Furthermore, the article substantiates pedagogical approaches, principles of differentiated education, and modern methods and technologies aimed at developing this competence in future teachers.
